CERTIFICATION: IP65 (Waterproof)
APPLICATION
The Tool Helper combines leading-edge, energy saving 28 watt quad-tube
fluorescent compact technology with safety, simplicity, and durability.
This fixture is totally constructed (base and globe) of General
Electric's Lexan offering exceptional quality and maximum durability
in the most hostile machine and industrial environments. This water-resistant
fixture has been designed and tested for superior performance in
heavy coolant machine environments indoors - as well as exposed
to nature's harshest elements outdoors.
Since The Tool Helper offers a wide area of light to work areas,
it is ideal for lighting machine cabinetry and safety hood providing
360 degrees of illumination to both work areas as well as "black
holes" that are commonplace. The Tool Helper is currently being
used in "washed down" environments. The energy saving, very bright
(1600 lumens) 28 watts of "cool white" (4100 Kelvens) offer maximum
light to assembly, inspection and general work areas. It is an
excellent general purpose fixture for both indoors and outdoors.
SUPERIOR FEATURES
- The Tool Helper offers 360 degrees of illumination.
- Waterproof design of Lexan base and globe offers
superior performance in the harshest coolant machines and industrial
environments. It is also ideal for "wash down" applications
indoors or wet locations outdoors.
- Utilizes energy saving 28 watt quad-tube fluorescent
compact technology costing 1/3 the electricity of the equivalent
incandescent and lasts 10 times longer.
- Bulb changing is as easy as unscrewing the globe
and popping in a standard off-the-shelf fluorescent bulb.
- Optimum safety is the key element in The Tool
Helper's design. All electrical components and assemblies are
housed within the safe Lexan base. The Lexan housing maximizes
safety in the harshest environments.
LEXAN FIXTURE
This fixture combines the simple concept of a standard electrical
junction box with the ruggedness of 1/8" thick Lexan casing offering
exceptional quality. The Tool Helper is virtually unbreakable
even in the most hostile and roughest industrial environments.
It is resilient to flying metal debris and extremely versatile
in extreme wet/coolant environments.
The superior design places all components inside the totally
enclosed waterproof Lexan chamber to ensure operator safety. Four
silicone gaskets are located where the globe meets the base for
added assurance of water-tight assembly.
The standard auto-start feature offers immediate
light quality upon plugging in or turning on the fixture. Each
fixture ships standard with an easy to reach on/off switch located
on the base.
INTERNAL ELECTRONIC BALLAST
The Tool Helper utilizes a Class-P ballast internal to the fixture.
The ballast offers thermal protection to shut off the power in
the case of overheating thus safe-guarding the operator while
protecting the expensive ballast in power surge conditions. The
isolated power supply separates the two heat sources (lamp and
ballast) for a more efficient transfer of heat to external the
fixture adding extended life to the fixture. The Tool Helper draws
.55 amps and will withstand -35 degrees Fahrenheit to +104 degrees
Fahrenheit. The Lexan fixture serves as an ultraviolet resistant
housing.
SPECIALLY DESIGNED GLOBES
The Lexan globe has been specially designed to offer a smooth
outer globe ideal for heavy coolant and dust-filled environments.
Ridges, sometimes called prisms, are molded on the inside of the
globe to soften the light when looking directly at the light source,
protecting the eyes. The ridges also serve to dissipate the light
over a wide and even area. The base of the globe easily unscrews
for quick and easy changing of the bulb.
What could be easier to change bulbs in The Tool Helper. Simply
screw off the globe and replace the new fluorescent bulb. The
Tool Helper uses state-of-the-art Quad-Tube 28 watt fluorescent
compact bulb in the 120 volt version. Maximum
illumination is offered with 1600 lumens, and ships standard with
a "cool white" bulb offering 4100 Kelvens- optimum for the machining
environments. The average life of the bulb is rated at 10,000
hours, a substantial cost reduction over conventional bulbs.
MOUNTING BRACKETS
Standard with each fixture will ship (2) fluted mounting brackets,
where each will screw easily into the base of the fixture with
four stainless steel screws. Additionally, a 90-pound magnet ships
standard with each fixture. Each fixture can be operational within
minutes.
SHIPS COMPLETE
The Tool Helper ships complete, ready to be plugged into any
120 volt power source and ready to use. The fixture
ships standard with:
- 100% Lexan base and globe.
- 28 watt quad-tube compact "cool white" (4100K)
fluorescent bulb.
- On/off switch located in the base.
